ROGUE 03:05
ROGUE I don’t even know if anything is real at this point What’s gold’s not gold and I’m just here Thrown into waves even giants can’t catch Feeling as if maybe it’s not worth it Merge the blur of the past with the mirage of our memories I am the only one standing here Crippled by my fear The war of noise projecting around me Beside me You’re reaching out, but I can’t see it It’s raining down, but I am Too proud to let go Let it change, So I’d rather be… ROGUE I can control it I can break it, So tell me why I am still here Letting the sun go down (letting it go away) When I come through, Imma show you Let me Let me Imma show you Let me Let me You’re reaching out, but I can’t see it It’s raining down, but I am Too proud to let go Let it change, (So cover me in gold baby I wanna be gold baby) You’re reaching out, but I can’t see it It’s raining down, but I’d rather be ROGUE

2 WEEKS’ NOTICE It’s rare you meet nice people in a town that’s built on tearing others down That’s why it’s no surprise that that’s who I’d run into You’d think that after all this time of feeling out of place That it would get easier, Not so And in the shadows and I was cast on the road of the sideline And Never getting told when I’d get to shine Oh, ‘cause I know you told me time and time again to wait my turn But maybe, baby it was my turn and you misunderstood But, I’ll be alright When I leave this town This town… I wasn’t what you were used to, but you claimed to always understand With an open mind Yeah right… All the things you said to me to keep me hanging on Didn’t last You didn’t wanna hear me, And that alone made scars that feel like they may never heal I know you told me time and time again to wait my turn But maybe, baby it was my turn and you misunderstood Yeah, but I’ll be alright When I leave this town This town… When you get a second from doing 700 million things You’ll realize that I was gone And you were wrong And you’d call me up for what you’d call a second chance, But I need someone who gets it on the very first try Try… I’ll be alright Oh, I’ll be alright Let me go Set me free It’s getting cold in here, but I’ll be alright Oh, I want you to know that I’ll be alright I said we working We working I’m doing it, and I’m perfect You know it You know it I said we working We working I’m doing it, and I’m perfect You know it You know it Incoming breath I mean, this time I didn’t know you would be here But, here I stand without question ‘cause there’s no coincidence here That I’ll be alright Alright

TRAINING WHEELS What do we understand? What can we learn? I can spell love to feel it, But I don’t know it by what it looks like By what it looks like I just wanna know you Breathe in who you are Would you like that? Is that okay? Let’s be alone, And dress on experience The life, the life, the life Let’s be alone, And all that we crave for is The life, the life, the life And we waste so much time And I waste so much time running over every little thing You make me wanna stop Oh, ride with everything we have right now Right now Would you like that? Is that okay? Let’s be alone, And dress on experience The life, the life, the life Let’s be alone, ‘Cause all that we crave for is The life, the life, the life (I’ll be the first to say it I swear, I swear I mean it when I ask you to stay This is more than words, and you know it ‘cause I’m beside you So tell me baby, what do you say?) Oh, oh, oh Why find trouble if it’s on its way? They’ll keep talking even if we stand still We’ll just enjoy the life, the life, the life Oh, Oh, Oh The life, the life… (Oh, what I wouldn’t do for you baby)

BREATH OF NOWHERE Give me a moment Show me your answer Of how you run so fast and never get tired Show me your heartbeat I wanna feel your heartbeat and put it in sync with mine ‘Cause it’s getting louder and louder here I barely have the room I can’t feel this going anywhere I know that I’m running all out of time ‘fore I have to make a move, So show me your getaway Let me use your getaway Breath of nowhere Is better than somewhere I’d do anything to escape with you Breath of nowhere Is better than right here I’d do anything to escape with you You, you, you What will they take from me? When no one seems to ever wanna go home All I can feel is the fall When everyone around me’s taking off While I wade in the questions While I wade in the questions ‘Cause it’s getting louder and louder here I barely have the room I can’t feel this going anywhere I know that I’m running all out of time ‘fore I have to make a move, So show me your getaway Let me use your getaway Breath of nowhere Is better than somewhere I’d do anything to escape with you Breath of nowhere Is better than right here I’d do anything to escape with you You seemed to know it all Well, you’re starting to look just like me There’s no running from this anymore No hiding from this anymore… I’ve gotta face it Let me face it. Louder and louder Louder and louder louder

I BELIEVE IN YOU I am just tired of things falling apart Piece by piece I’m losing energy And wondering if anything is possible What do I do? Where I go? But if I have an ounce of faith I’ll say I believe in you I… I believe in you I… So, something’s gonna turn out right for me Say something’s gonna turn out right for me I’ll keep hoping I’ll keep praying Yeah, Yeah And why every time falls apart, there’s doubt? Losing trust that anything will turn around And stick to waiting Waiting for a sign, But if we still have an ounce of faith We’ll say… That I believe in you I… I believe in you I… So, something’s gonna turn out right for me Say something’s gonna turn out right for me I’ll keep hoping I’ll keep praying We’re tired of nightmares and darkness and shadows We’re broken Hoping and praying that you will just notice Why is it so hard to feel your presence? We cry father, oh father, oh father, oh Father You might be the only one we can call Father So come and raise your hand, and reign your love… ‘Cause I believe in You I… I believe in You I… So, something’s gonna turn out right for me Say something’s gonna turn out right for me I’ll keep hoping I’ll keep praying I know there is no way that this can all fall apart Without something turning around I know this is a test to see how strong I am, But I am strong because I believe Yes, I am So something’s gonna turn out right for me Yeah, something’s gonna turn out right for me I’ll keep hoping, praying, Believing in you… You ‘Cause I love you Oh, love you Yes, I love you and I believe ‘Cause I need you Yes, I need you Oh, I need you and I believe ‘Cause you’re worthy Yes, you’re worthy Oh, you’re worthy and I believe ‘Cause I need you Yes, I need you Oh, I need you and I believe In you In you In you In you

WHEN MY MORNING COMES When everything is gone and all is broken All I have left is a whisper A whisper of hope Voices surround me, but I can’t keep focused to find the answer Where is my rescue? Is it already here? Just direct me to more To tomorrow To joy To the morning Oh, oh, oh, oh, oh Give me a second chance to save me Spin me around to find direction I can’t take more of this darkness Oh, oh, oh Reckless and tired Just wanna know what it’s like… When my morning comes… I sit still as they pass us by They know, but it’s time that I learn on my own On my own On my own I don’t wanna make the same mistakes Don’t let this be it Not as good as it gets No… No… Just direct me to more To tomorrow To joy To the morning Oh, oh, oh, oh, oh Give me a second chance to save me Spin me around to find direction I can’t take more of this darkness Oh, oh, oh Reckless and tired Just wanna know what it’s like… When my morning comes… Oh, I need something different More than this I don’t wanna be the only one Yes, I know that I’ve been hiding I know I’ve been afraid, But I’m ready… Yes, I’m ready… Oh, oh, oh, oh, oh Want you to know that I’m ready Oh, oh, oh, oh, oh I need a second chance to save me So, Spin me around to find direction When there is no more of this darkness Oh, oh, oh Just wanna know what it’s like… When my morning comes… Bring me the morning Bring me the morning Oh, I’m ready Yeah, I’m ready…

about

This EP captures the last few years of my life when I was jobless, depressed, and feeling stuck. This was the decision to take music and myself seriously. THE MORNING represents so much for me. It's coming of age and moving forward. It's about waking up. I'm overjoyed it's finally here and I can share it with you. Making this changed me. I hope it can do something magical for you too.

Love,

Evan
